Counselling/Psychotherapy
I am a counsellor, psychotherapist and counselling supervisor with over 20 years experience. I normally work one to one with adults and young people from age 16 in both short term counselling work and longer term in depth psychotherapy, dependent upon need.
Offering real attention and an authentic response is most important to me, as I believe only in genuine relationship can real changes occur to how you think, feel and behave. I tailor my approach to each individual that I meet and together we will regularly review how you are feeling, to ensure your needs are being met.
Supervision
I provide clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists working with adults, children or young people and management supervision to those in associated professions. I work with experienced therapists and those in training.
My approach is to ascertain your needs and provide a warm and professional
supervisory experience that incorporates clear boundaries and regular reviews to ensure that your needs are being met. My aim is to support you and your work and help you to grow personally and professionally.
My Profile
I have over 20 years experience of therapy and clinical and management supervision within the counselling field for both children, young people and adults. I have worked in many different settings including: schools, further and higher education, GP practices, drug and alcohol centres, charities, public sector and private practice.
I am professionally qualified as a therapist, clinical supervisor, manager and lecturer and in my previous working life I have worked mainly in management roles firstly within the catering industry and then in Human Resources. I feel this career path has offered me lots of different experiences and challenges that I can bring to my work today.
